It's a Great, Great Story... It tells a very moving story...

It's an effort of love and an effort of prayer and a lot of hard work....
It tells a story of Faith and Love and Compassion...

...we should not take life for granted.
Darla,
THANKS for doing the interview. I have it scheduled to air on KNEO Radio on Tuesday Dec. 19 at 1PM .

I had a chance to view the movie over the weekend. It was VERY WELL PRODUCED! I found it very touching and it shows us that we should not take life for granted. We need to be prepared spiritually for anything life hands to us whether it be good or bad.

THANKS AGAIN!

The Goal has portrayed life's reality.
“My wife and I had the privilege of screening The Goal. Our emotions were captured by the tragic event at the beginning the movie. But by the conclusion of The Goal we were delighted and rejoicing to see how God had worked in the midst of a tragic event.
The Goal has portrayed life's reality. Everything in our life is not good and is even sometimes tragic. However, when we trust God through all events of our life, He will indeed cause everything to work together for our good (Romans 8:28)
The Goal has certainly portrayed this spiritual principle of life.”

...The movie was a miracle cure.
"My husband, Mark was involved a very serious motorcycle accident in April of this year. ... This women nearly took his life as she threw him off the mountain and dragged his bike up the mountain about 160 feet. She was impaired at 8:30 in the morning.

... He did spend 10 days in ICU and had 5 surgeries. He had a concussion and a cracked helmet. Her truck hit his left leg and he landed on his head and chest and both legs were damaged, along with lung and heart concerns. He had a grade 3 PCL and the other lower leg/ankle was shattered.

That was April. My parents came to help as my husband did not have the use of either leg and was be ridden for months. He was on Oxygen and there were heart concerns as well.

I had just received of copy of "The Goal" by Darla Rae in the mail only a few weeks after the accident. However, it was too soon for Mark to relive a bike accident. However, my parents were so excited to see the movie that they had heard so much about. Mark was a full time patient...doing nothing at all for himself. This was late May. I was tired....drained from fetching water, food, ice and bed baths. He layed there helpless.

... I plugged in the movie. We all watched. Mark from his hospital bed which was in the middle of the living room. My parents loved it! Mark was rather quiet.

The next day, I saw a miracle. I simply didn't think I could do much more 24/7 health care as I had 2 spine surgeries myself recently. Mark was got into his wheelchair without help. He got his own ice. He got his own lunch. Overnight he became more independant and he and I both needed it!

It is now nearly August and he has only just had the wheelchair and bed picked up. However, the determination to become well and independant again began while watching "The Goal" This movie has the power to help people with chronic illness, cancer and honestly any other serious malady. If a quad can be seen camping, dating and enjoying life....what excuse is there for others for the pity party! Get moving and get better...live life!

I saw it work with my own eyes......

"Der Film erzählt sehr einfühlsam des "zweite"  Leben zweier junger Männer. Nach Ihrem Unfall müssen Sie von null beginnen. Es ist sehr ermutigend zu sehen wie der
Lebenswille zurückkommt und die Geschichte ihren lauf nimmt.

 Ein sehr wertvoller Film."

...Here is hope beyond hope . . . life beyond life . . .
It was the poet Emily Dickinson who claimed: "I live in Possibility ..."

To see "THE GOAL" is to experience and excite "possibility" beyond
any definition or drama any poet has probed or penned.

Here is hope beyond hope . . . life beyond life . . .
       yes,
            possibility beyond "Possibility"!

Pastor Ron Swenson

...it shows hope to a situation many had seen as hopeless before.
It is educational, it is realistic, it is inspirational, it is up lifting. It is a little disturbing in the beginning, but not graphically and so any child could watch it. It is something that most humans experience to some degree and so watching this with your child in a family oriented gathering can be beneficial in educating them about paralysis.

It is up lifting, because it shows hope to a situation many had seen as hopeless before. It is a movie worth seeing and caringly and powerfully made to empower people. In that respect it is a perfectly designed movie.

It's a feel-good, positive, family film...
...The Goal has the power to change perceptions profoundly
The thing I appreciated most about The Goal--the thing that really stuck with me--was its positive, realistic portrayal of life as a quadriplegic. I actually think it will change the way I look at people in wheelchairs now. I must admit that before seeing the movie, though I knew intellectually that people in wheelchairs were just like anyone else, I don't think I ever really embraced that concept wholeheartedly. This film showed that there is life after a devastating injury--there is hope and fun and friends and laughter. I think The Goal has the power to change perceptions profoundly--both of newly injured people and of those of us who have never experienced such a difficult challenge. I hope more and more people are able to see it.

While it certainly has touching scenes, The Goal takes you by surprise with its genuine humor. One of the most memorable scenes for me was when the guys fell out of their wheelchairs while alone in the woods.

...This is not a depressing film asking for pity. It's a feel-good, positive, family film that brings the audience into the intimate realities of a world most of us will never otherwise see.

I'm so glad you made this film, Darla, and I hope it gets wide distribution.

To Darla and the rest of the cast and crew...great job all around.
You have set a great example (and a pretty high bar) for us other Colorado filmmakers with aspirations of making a commercially viable independent film here on the Front Range.
... What I do know is that none of it stopped Darla from making her movie, and a damn good one at that. So big-time "KUDOS" to you, Darla. You're my new hero.

How hopeful this film will be to those new quads as they struggle to make
sense of life "after".
...those cuts tightened up the film and made it even more gripping.
Thank you for all your hard work is making this project so successful.
The preview was very successful, so many in attendance!

Words are inadequate to express the emotions I felt watching The Goal last
night.
I went from feeling utter despair to unbelievable genuine joy.
The words to Laura's songs coincided so beautifully with the screen action -
I was entranced for 99 minutes.

Laurie Peterson-Wright

The scene where Jason is getting himself dressed and out of bed into his chair was very emotional. And real.
I got the copy .... It's really good.

This is a real story of loss, acceptance, and re-establishing achievement in human life.
The movie "The Goal" accurately depicted the physical and emotional aspects of a Spinal Cord Injury. The basic theme of the movie was the amount of perseverance, strength, and faith an individual requires to regain the quality of life he/she once had. "The Goal" did an excellent job of showing 2 young men (along with their families) overcoming the greatest physical and emotional challenges from the SCI to regain the lives they desired.
